While we practice primarily a traditional approach to medicine, we recognize the benefits of alternative approaches to a pet's standard of care. Our recommendations on vaccinations are based on conversations with pet parents and risk assessments of the lifestyle and environment of your pet. We employ cold laser therapy to assist with recovery and as a possible replacement to pain medication and anti-inflammatories for joint issues. When the scope of holistic services requested are outside our service offering, we work collaboratively with holistic practitioners for an optimal approach. Our goal is to work with pet parents to identify a standard of care for their pet that reflects their values.

At Mahalo Veterinary Hospital, we believe in assisting the body's innate wisdom to heal wherever possible. We try our best to assist in the natural healing process by employing principles of naturopathy within the context of conventional medical practices.
